I’ve accepted Almighty God’s work of the last days, and I’d like to share the gospel with the brothers and sisters of my former denomination. However, not only do they refuse to accept it, but they have even rejected and slandered me. I’m really upset and don’t want to share the gospel with them anymore. In the face of this kind of situation, what can I do to be in accord with God’s will?

“Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake” (Mat 5:10-11).

God laments the future of mankind, He grieves at the fall of mankind, and is pained that mankind is marching, step by step, toward decay and the path of no return. A mankind that has broken the heart of God and renounced Him to seek the evil one: Has anyone ever given thought to the direction in which such a mankind might be headed? It is precisely for this reason why no one senses the wrath of God, why no one seeks a way to please God or tries to draw closer to God, and what is more, why no one seeks to comprehend God’s grief and pain. Even after hearing the voice of God, man continues on his own path, persists in straying from God, evading God’s grace and care, and shunning His truth, preferring to sell himself to Satan, the enemy of God. And who has given any thought—should man persist in his obduracy—to how God will act toward this humanity that has dismissed Him without a backward glance? No one knows that the reason for God’s repeated reminders and exhortations is because He has prepared in His hands a calamity like never before, one that will be unbearable to the flesh and soul of man. This calamity is not merely a punishment of the flesh, but also of the soul. You need to know this: When God’s plan falls through, and when His reminders and exhortations beget no response, what kind of rage will He unleash? It will be like nothing that has ever been experienced or heard by any created being. And so I say, this calamity is without precedent, and will never be repeated. For God’s plan is to create mankind only this once, and to save mankind only this once. This is the first time, and it is also the last.

Are you aware of the burden you shoulder, your commission, and your responsibility? Where is your sense of historic mission? How will you adequately serve as a master in the next age? Do you have a strong sense of masterhood? How would you explain the master of all things? Is it really the master of all living creatures and of all physical things in the world? What plans do you have for the progress of the next phase of this work? How many people are waiting for you to be their shepherd? Is your task a heavy one? They are poor, pitiable, blind, and at a loss, wailing in the darkness—where is the way? How they yearn for the light, like a shooting star, to suddenly descend and dispel the forces of darkness that have oppressed man for so many years. Who can know the full extent to which they anxiously hope, and how they pine, day and night, for this? These deeply suffering people are imprisoned in a dark dungeon without hope of release, even on a day when the light streaks across; when will they weep no longer? These fragile spirits, who have never been granted rest, are truly suffering great misfortune. They have long been kept bound in this state by merciless bonds and the history that is frozen in place. And who has heard the sound of their wailing? Who has seen their miserable visage? Has it ever occurred to you how grieved and anxious God’s heart is? How can He bear to see innocent mankind, whom He created with His own hands, suffering such torment? It is human beings, after all, who are the victims of having been poisoned. And although man has survived to this day, who would have known that mankind has long been poisoned by the evil one? Have you forgotten that you are one of the victims? Are you not willing to strive, out of your love for God, to save these survivors? Are you not willing to use all of your energy to repay God—He who loves mankind like His own flesh and blood? When all is said and done, how would you interpret being used by God to live your extraordinary life? Do you really have the resolve and confidence to live the meaningful life of a pious, God-serving person?

As members of the human race and devout Christians, it is the responsibility and obligation of us all to offer up our mind and body for the fulfillment of God’s commission, for our entire being came from God, and it exists thanks to the sovereignty of God. If our minds and bodies are not for God’s commission and not for the righteous cause of mankind, then our souls will be unworthy of those who were martyred for God’s commission, much more unworthy of God, who has provided us with everything.

The time has come for us to repay God’s love. Although we are subject to no small amount of ridicule, slander, and persecution because we follow the path of belief in God, I believe this is a meaningful thing. It is a thing of glory, not shame, and no matter what, the blessings we enjoy are not paltry at all. In countless times of disappointment, God’s words have brought comfort, and before we know it, sorrow has turned to joy. In countless times of need, God has brought blessings and we have been provided for through His words. In countless times of sickness, God’s words have brought life—we have been freed from danger, and turned from danger to safety. You have already enjoyed so many things such as these without realizing it. Could it possibly be that you do not remember?

You should do your own duty to the best of your ability with open and upright hearts, and be willing to do whatever it takes. As you have said, when the day comes, God will not mistreat anyone who has suffered or paid a price for Him. This kind of conviction is worth holding on to, and you should never forget it. Only this way can I put My mind at ease about you. Otherwise, I will never be able to put My mind at ease regarding you, and you will forever be the objects of My distaste. If you all can follow your conscience and give your all for Me, spare no effort for My work, and devote a lifetime of effort to My gospel work, then won’t My heart often jump for joy for you? Won’t I be able to entirely put My mind at ease regarding you?

In fulfilling their duty there are people who have indeed paid a price, done things that have been praised by God, who have performed their duty in ways that are outstanding, extraordinary, admirable and enviable to the point that they can be considered to have performed good deeds. Some brothers and sisters have gone to prison for fulfilling their duty, have suffered many torments without submitting to Satan, and have stood witness. Then there are people who dare to take risks without regard to personal safety or benefit, who are dedicated to performing dangerous duties in the spirit of boldly doing what is righteous. And there are those brothers and sisters who are able to devote themselves to the work of the gospel, and they are able to bear humiliation in preaching the gospel to save people. There are also those who are diligent in the work of the gospel, enduring hardships without complaint, setting aside personal and family matters while their minds are filled with how they can spread the gospel to bring more people before God and meet God’s will. All those who have been devoted to expending themselves entirely in order to satisfy God are people who have already performed good deeds. Yet they still have a certain distance from the “sufficient good deeds” that God demands. Most people have just prepared some good deeds and have not completely met God’s requirements. That requires us to dig deep for our potential to fulfill our duty and be earnest in entering deeply into the truth in order to perform sufficient good deeds. This demands that we seek to achieve the best results in order to satisfy God’s heart, no matter what duties we are fulfilling. Particularly in spreading the gospel, no matter how great the humiliation we suffer or how much suffering we endure, as long as we can bring more people to gain salvation, we must take it as a bounden duty regardless of the personal cost. Only this is performing the best deed. If people are able to perform more good deeds such as this, that can be considered sufficient good deeds. This is what brings God the most happiness and joy, and such people will surely receive God’s praise.

What do you do if you really put a bit of the truth into practice but you’re shamed? What do you do if you’re judged, slandered, and rejected? Have you considered that? If people judge you or are envious of you for putting the truth into practice, or if your nonbeliever family members oppress or reject you, what can you do? To put in the terms of the Age of Grace, you have to take up that cross, forsake the flesh, and deny yourself. Are you able to do that? It’s not okay if you can’t make that sacrifice—there have to be a few times in our lives when we risk everything! You have to go through some of these struggles in putting the truth into practice, and if you undergo them without dying, if you live through them, you will taste the sweetness and then whatever wind and waves you face, you’ll no longer feel afraid. Have you ever risked everything? You have to do that! When you’re faced with the greatest hardships it can seem like the entire world has its eyes on you, that everyone is gnashing their teeth and is dying to swallow you whole. Have you stayed standing through that? Have you experienced that? Have you weathered such painful days, such arduous moments? Once you undergo such great suffering you no longer think anything when putting the truth into practice—you don’t care if you have any face or not! After undergoing a few experiences like this, not only will no one look down on you, but they’ll respect you, look up to you, and admire you. Then you can really taste the sweetness.
